Day 0- Arrival Day: (August 4th) Arrive at the Quality Inn in Clarkston, Washington where lodging is included in your trip cost. Attend 6pm pre-trip meeting with WWRE guide to discuss trip logistics, meet group members and receive dry bags to pack your things into for the trip. Dinner is on your own this evening.
Day 1- Launch Day: Breakfast at the Quality Inn, then take a 1.5 - 2 hour scenic drive to launch in Winding Waters' van. Meet your guide crew, participate in a river awareness talk, board the rafts and begin your down-river adventure. Lunch will be served riverside. Arrive in camp in the afternoon with plenty of time to relax before the evening yoga session. A delicious dinner and a fun evening around the campfire to follow.
Days 2 through 4- River Days: Awaken to the peaceful sound of Canyon Wrens and the river flowing by. Following juice, coffee, and tea, begin your day with a yoga session. Then enjoy a nutritious breakfast and board the rafts for an exciting day floating the whitewater of the Salmon River. While on the river, swim in the calm pools, enjoy stops to explore cultural history sites, and scan the canyon walls for wildlife. Arrive in camp in the afternoon with plenty of time again to relax before the evening yoga session. A delicious dinner and a fun evening around the campfire to follow.
Day 5- River/Take Out Day: (August 9th): Following another wonderful day on the river, arrive at Heller Bar (our take-out) in the afternoon. At the take-out, the Winding Waters' van will provide transportation (30 minutes) to the Quality Inn to your vehicle.
