Of course, we're a little biased here at Winding Waters River Expeditions, but we believe a rafting trip is one of the best types of family vacations today. This question is one we often receive. Each river offers a unique experience for your family. If you have thrill-seeking teenagers, the Snake River through Hells Canyon and the Salmon offer fun Class III & IV whitewater. The cultural history, hiking, and fishing opportunities are high points of Hells Canyon. If your kiddos like to play on the beach, we highly recommend the Salmon River. The white sandy beaches of the Salmon offer endless sand-castle building opportunities and the crystal-clear water is perfect for summer swimming. For a more mellow whitewater experience, the Grande Ronde River offers a beautiful float through a naturalist's paradise.
